Through the Grace and Mercy and Compassion of God our lives briefly came together as "One" during the 2005 Annual Meeting of the "American Academy of Religion" and of the "Society of Biblical Literature" that was held in Philadelphia, in the "City of Brotherly Love", this last weekend, from November 19th through November 23rd. Bawa. At that time you shared with this child your goal or vision to "Republish the Holy Qur'an" but this time without "hate", and we realized two things after spending this time with my dearest loving brother Irwin. Bawa. First, that this was truly a "Noble Goal or Vision", and Second, that you have a very good heart. What more could one ever ask of a "True Friend". Al-hamdu lillah. Allahu Akbar. All praise and praising belongs to God and to God alone. Only God is Great. Amen. Bawa. We truly handed this experience of "Our Friendship", of our briefly coming together as One, as the "One Heart", as the "One Truth", as the "One Life", standing in the "Presence of God", in the presence of the "One God" of us all, handed all of this to God within us, thanking God for the experience, and briefly reflecting upon it. And then saying to God within us, the following, as our Father, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him) within us, and God within Him, have trained us to do in this age, and now on the "outside" of us, as His Children (may God be pleased with each of Us) are training us to do right now, in this Spiritual Letter, if we like, that is, if the true intention for our life within us, for our soul life, is to again become "One with" God within us, before we die to the flesh. Amen. "Thank you O God, but No Thank you. What's Next". Bawa. In this way, truly handing back to God within us what God has truly handed to us on the "outside" of us, and in this way, truly "Being Done with it", being done with each thing that God places before us, which is everything that comes before us, realizing that in "our hand", in our hand of "separation and differences" on the "outside" of us, nothing of value can come from it, from what God has placed before us. Bawa. In this way, briefly reflecting on it, and then handing it back to God within us, and then "Being done with it", in this way, leaving all responsibility for it where it truly belongs, in God's hands within us, not in our hands on the "outside" of us, as we mistakenly do at times, even with the best intention. Bawa. And in this way, may we, "Never have the thought that there is something that we have to do". Bawa. In this way, as Jesus (peace be upon Him) teaches us to do, as recorded over 2000 years ago in Chapter 5, Verses 30 to 31, of the "Gospel of John", in the Holy Bible, "I can of mine ownself do nothing; as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me." "If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true". Bawa. In this way, my dearest loving brother Irvin, we must spend our life "Bearing Witness of God" in our life, never "Bearing witness of ourselves" and of our accomplishments, no matter how noble they may appear, instead always bearing Witness of God's within us, of His love in our life, and of His Mercy and Compassion in our life, of how He is always protecting us, nourishing us, and pulling us "Back into Himself" within us, no matter what. Bawa. No matter what we may think in our ignorance, and in our arrogance about our ignorance, that we are seeing on the "outside" of us, which in truth is all within us, as the lives of darkness and evil that we in our ignorance, and in our arrogance about our ignorance, that we have grown within us, like weeds in God's Beautiful Flower Garden, and that now rule over us, as the 9 openings of our elemental body, with "God's Permission" within us, until we "See God and Steady God" within us. Bawa. In this way, if we like, allowing God to "Cure Himself of us", of "us" living a life on the "outside" of us, as if we are "separate from" God within us, as if we are "separate from" each other, and as if we are "separate from" the Creation of God within us, all of which is false, is just not true. Bawa. For in truth God is closer to us then our own breath, at least until we die to the flesh, and we are "All One" within us, and the Creation of God within us is where God has planted the "Seed of God" within us, just waiting for us to let it germinate within us, and reveal the "Tree of God" within us, and the "Fruits of God" within us, for the benefit of all of the Creation of God within us. Amen.. Bawa. Which in the Islamic tradition is called the "Seed of Allahu" within us, watering it with the Kalimah, with the remembrance of God within us, the remembrance of the Unity or "Oneness" of God within us, which is called Tawhid within us, which is the "Affirmation of the Unity of Allah" within us, watering it with, "La illaha, Ill Allahu, Muhammadar Rasul Allah". Bawa. Which can be translated to mean, "There is nothing other than God within us. You are Allah within us. And Muhammad is the Messenger of God within us". Bawa. In this way, bringing forth the "Tree of God" within us, with the tap root of "La illaha, Ill Allahu" within us, with the trunk of Iman within us, which is Perfected Faith within us, which is God's faith in God within us, with the Branches of the 124,000 Heavenly Beings, Prophets, and Lights of God within us, and with the Fruits of the 6,666 Verses of the Holy Qur'an within us. Amen. Bawa. With us allowing God to do this within us, by us joining in partnership with God within us, allowing God within us to "destroy us and reveal Himself" within us, allowing God to destroy "us" living on the "outside" of us as if we are "separate from" God with us, and to reveal Himself to Himself within us, for the benefit of all of God's Creation within us. Bawa. In this way, "us" joining in partnership with God within us, allows God within us to close down the world of hell within us, which is everything below our waist, which is false creation within us, to close down the world of jinns within us, which is our stomach, which is false destruction within us, and to close down the world of fairies within us, which is our chest, which is false life within us. Bawa. Which in truth are all of the impure lives within us, which in our ignorance we are now living through, thinking in our ignorance that this is "us", living on the "outside" of us, as if we are "separate from" God within us, all of which is not true. Bawa. And "us" joining in partnership with God within us, allow God within us to then re-open the world of souls within us, which is Jesus (peace be upon Him) within us, which is the awakened wisdom surrounding our soul, which is Moses (peace be upon Him) within us, joined as "One with" our liberated soul within us, which is Jesus (peace be upon Him) within us, liberated from His cross within us, which is our elemental body within us. Bawa. With "us" joining with our wisdom within us to pull out the 5 nails of "Our desire" to live on the "outside" of us and sin, that is, to continue trying to live on the "outside" of us as if we are "separate from", are "separate from" everything that in truth God is "One with", until we die to the flesh. Bawa. And then to receive from God within us exactly what we want, what we have told God that we want for eternity, not just by our words, but by the way that we have lived our life on the illusory outside of us, that is, to then get an eternal life as "separate from" within us, as our reward, which in truth is an eternal hell within us, no matter what we may choose to call it, for hell is simply the realization that we have separated ourselves from God within us, which in truth is separating ourselves from ourselves, from the truth of us, and from the truth of God within us. Amen. Bawa. With "us" joining in partnership with God within us, allowing God within us to then open the kingdom of God within us, which in truth is Purity within us, which in truth is the true Islam, Christianity, and Judaism within us, but this time as One within us, but this time as the Light of our Wisdom, joined as "One with" our liberated soul joined as "One with" our awakened wisdom, this time as the Nur Muhammad (blessing and peace be upon Him), which is our Divine Luminous Wisdom, which is the 7th level of wisdom within us, which is True Prayer within us, joined as "One with" the Sun of God within us, which is the Light of Man within God within us, which is Jesus (peace be upon Him) within us, joined as "One with" our wisdom, as the Qutbiyyat of God within us, which is the 6th level of wisdom within us, which is our Perfected Faith within us, which is Moses (peace be upon Him) within us. Bawa. And as such "They are all One" within us, and as such "So are We" within us, and when God has established this state of "True Prayer" within us, which in truth is "The Prayer of the One to the One who Is" within us, then "We will be within It", as the Witness, if we like, for the Choice to do this or not with our life, with the "Treasure" that God has given to us, is our Choice, not God's. Amen. Bawa. For in truth "They are all One" within us, all of the 124,000 Heavenly Beings, Prophets, and Lights of God that God are "One" within us, that God sent into the world, over and over again, for the last 200 million years, since Adam and Eve (peace be upon Them) came to seek redemption for Themselves (peace be upon Them) and for Their Children (peace be upon each of Us), "They are all One" within us, and "So re We" within us, although in our ignorance, and in our arrogance about our ignorance, we try to keep Them (peace be upon Them), as well as Ourselves (peace be upon each of Us), "separate" on the illusory "outside" of us. Bawa. Such is "God's Intention" within us, which is "Oneness" within us, that is, if we will only let Him, if we will only join with God within us, in what God is already and always doing within each of us, which is revealing God to God within us, for the benefit of all of the Creation of God within us, allowing True Man within God within us to reveal True Man to True Man within us, for the benefit of all of the Creation of True Man within the Creation of God within us. Bawa. In this way, with God and True Man within us "Telling Their Story" within us, which is the Story of the "Oneness of God and True Man" within us, which in truth is God and True Man within us, if we will only "Let Them", let Them tell Their Story again, but this time within us, if we will only join as "One with" Them within us, and as "One with" what They are doing within us, in this way, allowing Them within us to tell and bring Their Story to Completion within us, the Story of the "Seed of True Man" hidden within the "Seed of God" hidden within the Creation of God within us. Bawa. In this way, with Them within us, revealing Them within us, for the benefit of all of the Creation of God and of True Man within us, if we like. Bawa. Which in truth is the Story of "True Man happening" within "God happening" within the Creation of God within us, which in truth is "Our Story" too, if we like, with "Us joined as One" within us, telling and bringing to Completion this Story of the "Oneness of God and True Man" within us, that in truth is God and True Man within us. Bawa. Which on the "outside" of us is just like the telling and bringing to Completion of the Story of the "Oneness of the apple tree and its apple", which in truth is the apple tree, the apple, the apple seed, and the earth on the "outside" of us, if we only have the heart, the purity, the wisdom, and the faith to see it that way. Amen.. Bawa. That is, if we will only "stop working for wages" to get into some illusory heaven on another "outside" of us, after we die to the current illusory "outside" of us, all of which is false, and instead, "join in partnership with God" within us, in order to allow God and True Man within us to finish within us what They have started within us, a very, very long time ago, ever before we were born, even before we came to this earth world within us, a world within us that in our ignorance we only currently see as existing on the "outside" of us, but which in truth is within us. Bawa. With "us" in truth in our current state having become like the apple seed buried within the earth, not knowing "who it is", or "where it is", or what is truly "happening to it", in its ignorance, and in its arrogance about its ignorance, trying to continue to live a life as "separate from" the earth, trying to live an illusory life on the "outside" of itself, as if it is separate from the earth, within which it is buried, as if it is separate from the "truth of itself", that it is the "Seed of Something Else", that it is an "apple seed" buried within the earth, just waiting to germinate. Bawa. And as if it is "separate from" the truth of its Creator, which is the apple tree and its fruits, from which it came, that in truth are hidden within it, that are hidden within it as the apple tree and its fruits, just waiting to "Do Their Thing" again, that is, to reveal the apple tree, its flowers, its fragrance, its fruits, its sweet taste, and again the apple seed, but this time a 1000 fold, that is, if the apple seed will only let Them, if the apple seed will germinate, if the apple seed will die to the "outside" to allow the "true" inside to again live. Amen. Bawa. In this way, my dearest loving brother Irvin, in our current state we are like the apple seed buried within the earth, before it hears the truth, not knowing the true "Point of our life", for in truth we are currently buried within the illusory "outside" of us, buried within the drama of "separation and differences" on the "outside" of us, ready to hear the truth of ourselves, and the truth of God within us, not knowing that the "Point of our Life", is to let our life come to an end on the "outside" of us, before we die to the flesh, so God can again live within us, so True Man within God can again live, within God within us, and in this way, again bringing "Our Story" to Completion, but this time within us. Amen. Bawa. So the "Oneness of God and True Man" can again live, so the Story of the "Oneness of God and True Man" can again be told, and brought to Completion within us, but this time with "No Child Left Behind", but this time when it is all over, with nothing still "separate from" God within us, which has always been the case in all previous telling of "Our Story", but this time with every question of our mind and desire answered, so everything within us returns to God within us, from which we have all come, as the "Sweet Fruit Without A Seed". Amen. Amen, Amen, Ya Rabil Alameen. Amen, Amen, Ya Rahman Alameen. Amen, Amen, Ya Rahim Alameen. Al-hamdu lillah. Allahu Akbar. Amen. So be it, So be it, O Rabil Alameen, the Ruler of the 18,000 Universes within us. So be it, So be it, O Most Merciful One within us. So be it, So be it, O Most Compassionate One within us. All praise and praising belong to God and to God alone. Only God is Great. Amen. Bawa. With God within us first appearing in the world as the "Faith of Abraham (peace be upon Him) within us, allowing Abraham (peace be upon Him) to become peaceful in his "Pit of fire" on the "outside" of him, by Abraham (peace be upon Him) making "His knowing that God knows, enough for him". Amen. Bawa. That is, by Abraham (peace be upon Him) knowing that God put him in the "pit of fire", that God knows what is happening to him in the "pit of fie", and that God knows what needs to be done, concerning his being in the "pit of fire", and that God is most certainly doing just that, within him, always and without fail, without Abraham (peace be upon Him) needing to do anything, not even to ask for help, except to know this, without the slightest doubt, and then "God will do Everything Else", for if "we" have doubt, then "we are out". Bawa. Such is the complete, unshakable faith, certitude, and determination in God that God showed to us over 4000 years ago on the "outside" of us as Abraham" (peace be upon Him), and such is the "Faith of Abraham" (peace be upon Him) which must dawn within us, if we are to sit in our "pit of fire" in peace, which in the Islamic tradition is called Iman, for without this, without this kind of faith in God, there can be no true Islam, or true Judaism, or true Christianity within us, there can only be drama, the drama of "separation and differences" on the "outside" of us. Bawa. With God then appearing in the world as the "Wisdom of Moses" within us, as the 6th level of wisdom within us, which is referred to in the Islamic tradition as Divine Analytical Wisdom within us, the wisdom surrounding our soul within us, which when awakened within us, through the "Gift of God" for our age, through the "Life and Teaching of God" for our age, through the "Word of God" for our age, for the "Children of God" for our age, then analyzes, teaches, and controls everything within us, which in the Islamic tradition is referred to as the Qutbiyyat of God within us. Bawa. With the "Life and Teaching of God" for our age, being in truth for our age, the life and teaching of our dear Father, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him) within us, and God within Him, and now on the "outside" of us, being in truth for our age, the life and teaching of His Children (may God be pleased with each of Us), like this Spiritual Letter to you my dearest loving brother Irvin. Bawa. The life and teaching of His Children (may God be pleased with each of Us) which in truth is each of living in the world today, if we want it, that is, if the true intention for our life within us, for our soul life, is to again become "One with" God within us, before we die to the flesh. Amen. Bawa. The Qutbiyyat of God within us, which appears on the "outside" of us as the 10 Commandments of Moses (peace be upon Him), and appears within us, as the 10 Mystical Experiences of the Qutb within us, the wisdom within us, which if we like, when awakened within us, by the "Gift of God" for our age, becomes the "Knife of God" within us, that cuts away from us, if we like, everything that is "separating us" from God within us, which in truth is everything that we current see in our ignorance, and in our arrogance about our ignorance, as existing on the "outside" of us. Bawa. Which in truth is everything "separating God" from God within us, because in truth "Only God exists" within us, in truth "There is nothing other than God" within us, and in truth "God is One" within us, if we like, for the Choice to go this way or not with our life, is ours not God's, for the Choice to use our life in this way, letting it gradually come to an end on the "outside" of us, like a "baby suckling milk", so God can continue moving forward within us, continue moving forward what He is doing within us, is our Choice not God's, which is joining in partnership with God within us to reveal God to God within us, for the benefit of all of the Creation of God within us, before we physically die to the flesh on the "outside" of us. Bawa. In this way, with us taking our life, and with us taking what we think in our ignorance that we are doing on the "outside" of us, "out of our hands", and placing it "back into God's hand" within us, where it originally was, and doing this, both within us and on the "outside" of us, before we die to the flesh, doing this with our life, doing this with the "Treasure" that in truth is our life, doing this before we die to the flesh. Bawa. Such is our Choice, my dearest loving brother Irvin, not God's Choice, because God has already made His Choice, and He choose "Oneness with" us, and that is why we are now alive on the "outside" of us, so now we too can make a Choice, as God did before us, in order to become God within us, a Choice if made in partnership with God within us, acting this time as "One with" God within us, and as "One with" our brothers and sisters, and as "One with" the Creation of God within us, will in truth be God making His Choice again, will be God becoming God again, but this time within us, will be "Us" becoming God to everything living within us. Amen. Bawa. In this way, the journey of the apple seed buried within the earth is like the journey of each of us buried within the illusory "outside" of us, which is really within us, as the Creation of God within us, which is the "Earth of God" within us, and the journey of the apple seed is to realize, understand, accept, and join with the "truth of itself" and the "truth of what is hidden within it", a truth that naturally emerges from within it, when it is ready to both hear it, and to either accept or reject it. Bawa. Ready to either accept or reject the truth, both the truth of itself and the truth hidden within it, which is the truth of the apple tree within it. Bawa. And the truth of itself is that it is an apple seed, that it is the "Seed of Something Else", that it is an apple seed buried within the earth, and that the earth contains everything necessary to reveal the truth that is hidden within it, which is the apple tree, with the earth providing everything necessary for it to grow, that is, if the apple seed will only germinate to the truth, if it will only let its current life come to an end, if it will only let the illusory life on the "outside" of itself buried within the earth come to an end, so the life hidden within it can begin, so the "Truth can surrender to the Truth" within it. Bawa. Such is the Choice of each apple seed on the "outside" of us, and such is the Choice of each of us within us. Bawa. And the Choice to do this or not with its life, to germinate or not, the Choice to continue living in its ignorance as an apple seed buried within the earth, or not, is its Choice, not anyone else's, like the Choice to do this or not with our life, that is, the Choice to be "born again" or not, to "die before death" or not, is our Choice not God's, the Choice to do this with our life buried within our illusory "outside" of us, buried within our drama of "separation and differences" both within us and on the "outside" of us, is most certainly our Choice, not God's Choice. Bawa. May we both know this now, my dearest loving brother Irvin, because if we have doubt, then "We are Out!" Can we not do with our life at least as much as some apple seeds do, and Choose to germinate to the truth within ourselves, before we die to the flesh. Something to think about, Yes? Bawa. Because if we don't do at least this much with our life, my dearest loving brother Irvin, then we too will become like some apple seeds who fail to germinate, who instead rot in the earth and then die in the earth, taking on 105 million rebirths, but never again as an apple seed, never again as the Story of the "Oneness of the apple tree and its fruits", a Story that the apple seed came to the earth, to join as "One with" the earth, to tell. ============================================================== Republishing the Holy Qur'an - but this time with No Hate, this time within our heart, as the living Qur'an, the Ummul Qur'an, as the Mother of man's wisdom Bawa. In this way, using the "Power of God" within us all, which is the grace within the wisdom within us, to enliven all of the "Stuff of God' within God within us, and to cut away from within us all that is "separating God" from God within us, and our joining in partnership with God within us, to align us within us with God within us, and to align all that we "say and do" on the "outside" of us, with God's Intention within us, only then can we ever hope to come together as "One People" standing under "One Tent", under the "Tent of Abraham", praising the "One" God within us all, and praising what God is doing within us all. Amen. Bawa. Which is bringing us, and everything within us, back into the "Oneness" that is God and True Man within us, which is our true heritage, our true birthright, which is the the true destiny of our soul, and which is the true religion or path of Abraham (peace be upon Him) within each of us, if we like. Bawa. Also, your goal or vision to re-publish the Holy Qur'an, but this time without any hate is also very good, that is, without any references that could be taken by others as hate, that is, that could be taken by certain people or certain groups of people as personal attacks against them and against their current beliefs and practices, is certainly a noble goal. Bawa. One way to do this is to realize that God has the same goal and has already given us all that we need to do this in our age, by providing us in our age with the life and teaching of our dear Father, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him) within us, and of God within us, which is truly the "New Age Qur'an" within us, that is, a "New Age Version" of the Holy Qur'an, as well as of the "Words of God" from all previous ages, including those which are included in the Old and New Testament, but this time with no veils. Bawa. And everyone will hear it, and everyone will understand it, and all that is left is do we want it, do we want an eternal life as "One with" God within us, or an eternal life as "separate from" God within us, and the Choice is ours, not God's, and in truth there is no other Choice, and "No Choice" is a Choice, a Choice to continue with "business as usual" on the "outside" of us, to continue trying to live on the "outside" of us, as if we are "separate from" God within us, as if we are "separate from" each other, and as if we are "separate from" the Creation of God within us, all of which is not true. Bawa. That is, until we die to the flesh, and then we get this Choice for eternity, an eternal life as "separate from" God within us. Amen Bawa. A "New Age Qur'an" that cannot in any way be interpreted by any group as hatred for any individual, race, or religion, one that truly integrates both the inside and the "outside" of us all, if we like, that is, if the true intention for our life, and for all life, is to again become "One with" God within us, before we die to the flesh. So, my dearest loving brother Irvin, if we truly already have the material necessary to start to accomplish this goal, this vision, of republishing the Holy Qur'an without hate, then what else is needed to truly support this goal? Bawa. Two things immediately come into the heart of this child, when we hand this question to God within us all. For example, in the Islamic tradition it was the true Sufis living at the time of the Prophet Muhammad (blessing and peace be upon Him) who truly named the "Word of God" for that age, over 1400 years ago, defining the life and teaching of the Prophet Muhammad (blessing and peace be upon Him) at that time as "Islam", which can be translated to mean, to "Cut away all of our desires, or our "Ego", or "Isk", in order to reveal the Light of man within God within us, or "Lam", and who defined one who truly followed this "Word of God" for that age, as a Muslim, or as "One who is truly surrendered to the Will of Allah". Bawa. For as our dearest loving Father, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him) within us, and God within Him, teach us for our age, and now on the "outside" of us, as His Children (may God be pleased with each of Us) are teaching us right now, in this Spiritual Letter, "Man is God in the forgetting of himself" (For only our ego, which is our life on the illusory "outside" of us, living as if we are "separate from" God within us, stands between God revealing God to God within us, for the benefit of all of the Creation of God within us, stands between our soul, our wisdom, and the grace of God within us coming to maturity within us, stands between the One becoming the Three and the Three becoming the One within us, which is the "Sound of God" within us, which is God and the Holy Trinity of God within us, in the Christian tradition, and is God and the Triple Flame of God within us, in the Islamic tradition, and is the Three again becoming the One within us, but this time with an understanding of the Three, so it will never leave us again, but this time becoming the "Oneness of God and True Man" within us, which in truth is God and True Man within us. Amen)." And: "The understanding of today (on the "outside" of us") becomes the enemy of tomorrow (on the "inside" of us", which is our increased arrogance about our new and deeper level of ignorance)." And: "Nothing will ever leave us until it is understood (because that is the purpose for anything being there in the first place, understanding, that is, for us to learn about who we "Already are)" And: "Undersanding only occurs through contrast, (and that is where we have come, to this earth world within us, to the "School of Contrast" within us, to learn through contrast about what "separates us" from God within us, and having learned, if we like, to the return to God within us, either before or after we die to the flesh, to share our understanding with God for eternity." Bawa. In this way, in truth "God Has No Wrath Or Anger, But We Do", but certain parts of the English Version of the Holy Qur'an seem to indicate that "God has wrath and anger". Bawa. And this way of translating and interpreting the Holy Qur'an suggests a fundamental dynamic concerning our relationship with God that we need to both understand and make "visible", if we are ever to become truly successful in our lifetime. Bawa. That is, when searching for or learning about God, we seem to be motivated by one of two extremes, and certainly by many variations between them, that is, by either fear and selfishness or by faith and trust, and depending upon which end of this spectrum that we tend to live at in our life, at any particular point in our life, for we can certainly change during our lifetime, seems to determines how we will then interpret or respond to the "Word of God" for our age, when we hear it, and when we read it, no matter what Prophet of God speaks it, and no matter what "Book" it may eventually be written in. Bawa. For example, in earlier ages, people seemed to react this way, from one of these two motivations, whether the "Word of God" came from the mouth of Moses (peace be upon Him) and was written in the Holy Torah or Old Testament of the Jewish tradition, or from the mouth of Murugan (peace be upon Him) and written in the Vedas of the Hindu tradition, or from the mouth of Zoroaster (peace be upon Him) and written in the Avesta of the Zoroastrian tradition, or from the mouth of John the Baptist and Jesus (peace be upon Them) and written in the Holy Bible or New Testament of the Christian tradition, or from the mouth of the Prophet Muhammad (blessing and peace be upon Him) and written in the Holy Qur'an of the Islamic tradition. Bawa. In each case examples of both motivation extremes seemed to be present, both "fear and selfishness" and "faith and trust", and by the many variations between them. Bawa. That is, with "us" viewing and holding God and the "Word of God" as either "separate from" us, or as "One with" us, and as a result causing us to approach and respond to God and "His Word", at least at the extremes, from either fear and selfishness, or from faith and trust. Bawa. And if we then take our acceptance of God, and of the "Word of God" and put it into action, that is, and make it a living part of our life, this way of thinking, at least at the extremes, about God and His Word, as either "outside" of us, or as within us, as either "separate from" us, or as "One with" us, then seems to causes us to either set out to "work for wages to get into heaven" or to set out to "join in partnership with God within us". Bawa. For example, the understanding of this child, of this Child of Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Us), reflects one of these motivation extremes, of "Oneness with" God within us, that is, of this Child living at the feet of God for our age, which for our age is at the feet of our dear Father, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him) within us, and of God within Him, and now on the "outside" of us, living at the feet of His Children (may God be pleased with each of Us), which in truth is all of us living in this age, if we like, a view which can be certainly seen as one of these two extremes, that is, as viewing God and His Word as within us, and as "One with" us. Bawa. And in this way, causing us, at least this child, to "join in partnership with God within us", in order to allow God within us to accomplish what God has started within each of us, a very, very long time ago, which is to reveal God to God within us, for the benefit of all of the Creation of God within us. Bawa. And as in all things in our life, the Choice to do this, or not, is ours, not God's that is, the Choice to use our life in this way, or not, as a place to either "work for wages to get into heaven" or to "join in partnership with God within us" so God can finish what He has started within us, is most certainly our Choice, not God's Choice. Bawa. Now my dearest loving brother Irvin, lets take a look at an example of this in detail, if you like. Ok?. Bawa. For example, in the very popular and much used English Translation of the Holy Qur'an, by "A. Yusuf Ali", the Suratal Fatihah, which is the "Opening Chapter of the Holy Qur'an", and which is often referred to as the very "Heart of the Holy Qur'an", is translated and interpreted in the following way: Sura I. Fatiha, or Opening Chapter. 1. In the Name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. 2. Praise be to God, The Cherisher and Sustainer of the Worlds. 3. Most Gracious, Most Merciful. 4. Master of the Day of Judgment. 5. Thee do we worship, and Thine aid we seek. 6. Show us the straight way, 7. The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, Those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray. Bawa. Now lets look at the "Last two lines" of the Suratal Fatihah in a little more detail, and at the comments of "A. Yusuf Ali" about these last two lines, as follows: Last Two Lines of Suratal Fatihah: "Show (1) us the straight way, The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy grace, Those whose (portion) is not wrath (2), and who go not astray (3)". Comments By A. Yusuf Ali: (on above two lines) (1) If we translate by the English word "guide", we will have to say: "Guide us to the straight way." For we may be wandering aimlessly, and the first step is to find the Way; and the second need is to keep the Way: our own wisdom may fail in either case. The Straight Way is often the narrow Way, or the Steep Way, which many people shun. By the worlds perversity the straight Way is sometimes stigmatized and the crooked Way praised. How are we to judge? We must ask for God's guidance. With a little spiritual insight we shall see which are the people who walk in the light of God's grace, and which are those that walk in the darkness of Wrath. This would also help our judgment. (2) Note that the words relating to Grace are connected actively with God; those relating to Wrath are impersonal. In the one case God's Mercy encompasses us beyond our deserts. In the other case our own actions are responsible for the Wrath, -- the negative of Grace, Peace, or Harmony. (3) Are there two categories? -- those who are in the darkness of Wrath and those who stray? The first are those who deliberately break God's law; the second those who stray out of carelessness or negligence. Both are responsible for their own acts or omissions. In opposition to both are the people who are in the light of God's Grace: for His Grace not only protects them from active wrong (if they will only submit their will to Him) but also from straying into paths of temptation or carelessness. The negative gair should be construed as applying not to the Way, but as describing men protected from two dangers by God's grace. Bawa. And this English translation of the Holy Qur'an appears to be one of the best of the lot. For example, if we look at another English translation of the Holy Qur'an (with the last 2 lines in bold red), from Ballantine Books, In New York, copyrighted April 1993, and based on the Original English Translation by J. M. Rodwell, we get the following English version of the Suratal Fatihah: "Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds! The Compassionate, the Merciful! King on the Day of Reckoning! Thee only do we worship, and to Thee do we cry for help. Guide Thou us on the straight path, The path of those to whom Thou has been gracious; -- with whom Thou are not angry, and who go not astray." Bawa. All of which is a translation and interpretation of the Holy Qur'an which encourage us to view God as "separate from" us, and encourages us to try and avoid the "Wrath or anger of God". And gets us into trying to "Please God", as much as we can, and as often as we can, like we try to "please our parents", as well as our teachers, when we are children, so we would not become subject to their punishment, and even worse, to their disapproval. Bawa. And this way of translating and interpreting both God and the "Word of God" for our age, in this case, in at least two published and available English versions of the Holy Qur'an, is truly "The problem for our age", that is, presenting Them, prsenting God and "His Word" as "separate from" us, and as only existing on the "outside" of us, is truly "The problem for our age", because in doing so we have cut ourselves off from the "truth of us", and from the "truth of God" within us. Bawa. And other examples of this tendency for all of us in our ignorance, and in our arrogance about our ignorance, to easily fall into one of these two motivation extremes, that is, into "fear and selfishness", rather than into "faith and trust", can probably be found as well in all other Religious Scriptures, in all languages, like in the Old and New Testaments of the Holy Bible. Bawa. "Such is our real problem", my dearest loving brother Irvin, with "us" translating and interpreting both God and the "Word of God" for each age as only something that is "separate from" us on the "outside" of us, rather than as something that in truth is "One with" us, and within us, rather than as something that in truth is a part of us, and within us, rather than as God and the "Stuff of God" within us, and as "What God is doing" within us, rather than as something that in truth is always trying to speak to us, from within us, to speak the truth to us, as "Our own life speaking to us", if we like. Bawa. My dearest loving brother Irvin, that is always trying to speak the truth to us about "who we are", about "where we are", and about what is really "happening to us", a truth that naturally emerges from within us, like it does in an apple seed, when we are ready to both hear it, and ready to either accept or reject it. Bawa. That is, when we are ready to both hear it, and ready to either accept or reject the "truth of us", and the "truth of God" within us. Bawa. And now in our age, we are all most certainly ready to both hear it, and accept it, if we like, that is, to both hear the "truth of us", and the "truth of God" within us, and ready to either accept or reject it, and all that is left is "Do we want it", do we want to accept it, before we die to the flesh, to accept an eternal life as "One with" God within us, or reject it, or reject it and instead continue trying to live on the "outside" of us, as if we are "separate from" God within us, and then when we die to the flesh, get this, get this current life, living on the "outside" of us, as if we are "separate from" God within us, as our reward, but this time for eternity. Bawa. For the "Justice of God" is that, "Whatever we intend (now) is what (in the end) we will receive". Bawa. Such is "Our Choice" for our age, "Such is our problem" for our age, my dearest loving brother Irvin, which is "us" living in our ignorance on the "outside" of us, as if we are "separate from" God within us, continuing to focus in our ignorance, and in our arrogance about our ignorance, on the "outside" of us, and on what we think in our ignorance, and in our arrogance, that "we" and our dearest loving brothers and sisters are doing on the "outside" of us, all of which is false, is not true. Bawa. Rather then joining in partnership with God within us to realize what is really going on in our life, if we will let it, which is our "higher self", or wisdom, trying to pull up our "lower self", that is, which is our "higher self" trying to literally pull us up into a new level of consciousness or wisdom within us, into a new level of "self awareness" within us, of "God awareness" within ourselves. Bawa. And in this way, if we will let it, with our "higher self", or wisdom, , trying to redefine "us", to redefine "us" as "what is within us" rather than as "what is on the outside" of us, and then having transformed the current "inside" of us, from impurity to purity, from ignorance to clarity, from "selfishness to selflessness", then joining in partnership with God within us to again redefine "us", but this time, as "One with" God within us and as "One with" all that God is "One with", which in truth is everything both within us and on the "outside" of us. Bawa. Because in truth there is nothing really going on, on the "outside" of us, it is all a dream, and all that we are ever seeing on the "outside" of us is but a reflection of the current "inside" of us, which in our ignorance we have grown within us, as lives of darkness and evil, as weeds in "God's Beautiful Flower Garden", which originally was our perfectly pure heart, weeds which have now literally destroyed His Garden, destroyed our heart, and which now rules over us as the 9 openings of our elemental body, with "God's Permission". Bawa. Which now rules over us as the 9 openings of our elemental body, with "God's Permission", until we "See God and Steady God" within us, allowing God within us, if we like, to then "Cure Himself of us", of "us" living on the "outside" of us as if we are "separate from" God within us, all of which is not true, at least not yet, unless we die to the flesh in our current state. Bawa. But there is another way, a better way, my dearest loving brother Irvin, if we Choose to take it, before we die to the flesh, and that is to "Join in partnership with God within us", to start up again what God is doing within us, a journey which was stopped within us, when we, "Came to this earth world, forgot God, and fell into many a trap", when we came to our current state of "not knowing to seek ourselves (within ourselves), although God exists within man." Bawa. But we can still "Start it all up again", if we like, my dearest loving brother Irvin, until our last breath, for the Choice is ours, not God's, that is, before we die to the flesh, we can start it all up again, if we like, we can join in partnership with God within us to start it all up again within us, if we like. Bawa. That is, to start up again what God has started within us, a very, very long time ago, even before we were born, even before we came to this earth world, to start up again what God started within us before we took the other "Fork in the road", before in our ignorance, and in arrogance about our ignorance, we got into, and got caught by, "our own existence" on the "outside" of us, living as if we are "separate from" God within us. All of which is not true. Bawa. In this way, we can start again to "Seek ourselves within ourselves", if we like, we can start again to act as if we are "One with" God within us, as if we are "One with" each other, and as if we are "One with" the Creation of God within us, and since all of this is true within us, then God will most certainly "Make it so", both within us and on the "outside" of us, both now and after we die to the flesh. Bawa. In this way, liberating our soul from our ego, from our fear, from our selfishness on the "outside" of us, and replacing it with wisdom, with faith, with selflessness, and with trust in God within us. Amen. Bawa. In this way, "Allowing the qualities of our inner selves to become victorious over the qualities of our outer selves. Amen" Bawa. Realizing that, in truth, "Life is the victory of wisdom reasoning over fate." Bawa. And as noted above, but worth repeating, this is truly "The only real problem" for our age", which is our not "Joining in partnership with God" within us "To do this" with our life, that is, to make "us" again into "God's Property" within us, and then, in partnership with God within us, making "us" again into "God's Victory" within us, the victory of God over what is "separating God" from God within us. Bawa. This is truly "The only real problem" for our age, which is our "Not doing this" with our life, our not allowing our soul and God within us to again become "One" within us, before it is to late to do it, before we die to the flesh, but this time with an understanding of our "Oneness" so it will never leave us again, and before at least one of us destroys the "outside" of us, for all of us, which is a very real possibility for our age. Bawa. For this way of thinking, and this way of acting, on the "outside" of us, this way of holding God and the "Word of God" in our mind and desire, on the "outside" of us, as "separate from" us, rather than holding God and the "Word of God" in our hearts, as "One with" us, is truly "The only real problem" for our age, that is, rather than letting our soul again become "One with" God within us, through God within us, through what is within God within us, and through what God is already and always doing within us, which is revealing God to God within us, for the benefit of all of the Creation of God within us/ Bawa. In this way, with "us" joining in partnership with God within us, to tell and Complete the Story of the "Oneness of God and True Man" within us. Bawa. In this way, with "us" in our ignorance, and in our arrogance about our ignorance, approaching God and the "Word of God" for our age, through our "separation and difference" on the "outside" of us, which can be found in all religions, and within all of us, rather than through our "Oneness and Unity, our Justice and Truth, and our Compassing and Unity", within us, which can also be found in all religions, and within all of us. Bawa. And this way of thinking, and this way of acting, makes rigid religious dogma and rigid religious practices on the "outside" of us, appealing to us, as a safe way to avoid the "Wrath or anger of God", no matter what religious tradition we may be experiencing, that is, in order to avoid the "Punishment of God", or even worse, in order to avoid the "Disapproval of God", which we falsely believe will become our fate after we die to the flesh, if we have been bad. Bawa. That is, if we did not correctly follow all of the Commandments of God, as outlined for us as black and white on the "outside" of us, by some religious leaders, who may truly only view it that way, or who may have a personal agenda that gets them into exploiting this tendency toward the motivation extreme of "fear and selfishness" within us all. Bawa. When in truth, God within us, and the "Word of God" within us, that is, God and the Holy Qur'an, God and the Holy Bible, and God and all religious scripture, is a living reality within our very own heart, not something "separate from" us, on the "outside" of us. Bawa. That is, God and the Word of God is, "A treasure (within us) which continually speaks to our faith." Bawa. And it is always coming to us from God within us all, "According to the needs of the people, the difficulties they were undergoing, and the questions they asked." Quotation from His Holiness - from our dear Father, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (Ral.) within us, and God within Him, and now on the "outside" of us, from His Children (Ral.), which in truth is all of us, if we like, that is, if the true intention for our life within us, for our soul life, is to again become "One with" God within us, before we die to the flesh, but this time with an understanding of our "Oneness" so it will never leave us again. Amen Bawa. These two short quotations above come from the following longer quotation from the life and teaching of our dear Father, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him) within us, and from God within Him: -- Beginning of Quotation from His Holiness, M. R. Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (Ral.) -- The Qur'an is a treasure which continually speaks to our faith. Its verses were sent to Muhammad one by one, according to the needs of the people, the difficulties they were undergoing, and the questions they asked. These verses and chapters were sent to bring clarity to man, from the time he appears as a fetus, as the mim (4), to the moment he reaches the shore of the hereafter. They cleanse man stage by stage. Whatever state he is in at one time of prayer (5), the Qur'an explains the state he should achieve by the next prayer time. In this way, the Qur'an lifts man up, causing his wisdom, his beauty, and his divine knowledge (6) to grow little by little. The Prophet said, "Even though I depart from the world, I leave you the Qur'an. That is your evidence. Please keep it close to you. The Qur'an will be a teacher and a learned one to the innermost heart." That is why its verses were sent to mankind. Step by step the Qur'an elevates man; chapter by chapter, it cuts away all the things within him that need to be discarded. That is the purpose of the Qur'an -- to eliminate the four hundred trillion, ten thousand degenerate qualities and actions which oppose the truth of God, and to show man how to develop, how to beautify and improve himself. The Qur'an has the capacity to cut away this birth, to cast out arrogance, karma, illusion, and the sexual energies of the three sons of illusion (7). It can dispel man's love for earth, sensual pleasures (desire for women), and gold. It can drive away lust, anger, miserliness, attachment, bigotry, envy, theft, murder, falsehood, and the effects of intoxicants. To rid himself of these evil qualities, a true human being must sacrifice and purify his heart for Allah. He must perform the ritual sacrifice called qurban (8) for the sake of truth and justice, for the sake of righteous action, duty, equality, peacefulness, unity, and for the love of the one human family. If he does this, he will acquire the qualities, actions, and beauty of Allah. This is the state which the Qur'an depicts, the path of perfect purity (9). This is Allah's kingdom, and He is the only One who protects it, conducts its affairs, and rules over it with total justice. Anyone who acts according to that justice and understands Allah in completeness becomes His slave (10). Such a man owns nothing of his own, and so Allah protects him and looks after all his needs. If a man progresses to this state of purity, if he succeeds in cutting away all these evil qualities, then he becomes a true believer (11), living for nothing other than Allah, and having nothing other than Allah in his thoughts or intentions. He does not concern himself with seeing or hearing others, because no one else exists for him. He sees nothing other than Allah. He speaks to no one other than Allah. He has closed himself off to the sight and sound of everything but Allah. That is why he is called an ummi, an unlettered one. And because he has no words of his own, Allah's words and sounds come through him. He becomes the hadith (12) which explains the inner and outer aspects of Allah's revelations. In that state, his body or form is the holy book and his innermost heart is the Umm al-Qur'an. What does Umm mean? It means "mother." The mother who raises the true believer is the Umm al-Qur'an, the mother of justice and faith, the mother of man's wisdom. The Umm al-Qur'an is the essence of the Qur'an, the eye of the Qur'an. If man will only open that eye, he will know Allah, and knowing Allah, he will hear only His sounds and His words. This was the state of the Prophet, Muhammad al-Ummi. He was unlearned, and therefore, the words that he received could only have come through God's revelation (13). Allah explained to Muhammad the meaning of Iman-Islam, prayer, worship (14), and everything He had revealed to the earlier prophets. Through Muhammad, His Final Prophet, Allah clarified everything for mankind. Of all the prophets, only Moses and Muhammad attained the state where they met and spoke directly to God - Moses on Mount Sinai, when God revealed Himself as a resplendent light, and Muhammad once face to face during his mystical journey to heaven (15), and also in the many direct revelations he received (16). Moses and Muhammad also shared another distinction. They were the only two prophets whose names began with the letter mim. The mim was what Allah created first, and from it He made all of His creations. The letter mim covers the universes of the primal beginning, this world, and the hereafter (17). It penetrates the essence and the manifestation (18), as well as good and evil. All creations begin with mim, and as long as they continue to appear, that mim, the pearl of creation, will exist. It is endless. Through that mim Allah gave Moses the Ten Commandments and the explanations of the Torah, showing him what was permissible and forbidden (19) according to God's law, and what was good and evil? (20) With the grace of that mim, Moses was able to perform miracles and to deliver his people from Pharoah. And it was to the mim in Muhammad that Allah revealed the 6,666 verses of the Qur'an. The Sufis say that it is impossible to give a complete explanation of the mim; it can only be grasped by those who search deeply with perfect faith and an open heart. How then is it possible to explain who Muhammad truly is? How can we say when Muhammad was created or when he appeared? Only if we understand the real Qur'an completely can we understand Muhammad. Until a man reaches that state, he will continue to say that Muhammad is the son of Aminah and 'Abdullah. The Sufis call Muhammad the light of the innermost heart. In Tamil muham means face and aham means heart. When the Ahmad, the state of the heart, becomes Muhammad, then the light of the innermost heart is revealed in the beauty of the face. The Sufis also say that only when man comes to a realization of himself and dives deep within the inner Qur'an, drinking from its essence, will the truth of Muhammad be revealed to him in his meditation. Only when he reaches the state where he speaks to Allah alone, can he be said to truly exist in Islam. When he attains that state of communion with Allah, he will understand that the Qur'an and the holy books are his own body, the inner mystical form of a true human being. Such a man will understand the inner meaning of al-hamdu lillah (21), which is the praise of the inner form of man. Understanding the history of the One who is all praise, he will glorify Him alone. Only then can he see this history as one continuous study, an endless ocean of divine knowledge. Otherwise, each book he reads will explain a few points and then refer him to another book which will then refer him to yet another book. As long as he continues reading only those outer books, he will never reach his freedom. In this way, the Holy Qur'an is the reality within us, just waiting to be revealed by God within us, if we will only let Him, if we will only join Him, in what He is doing within us, which is revealing God to God within us, for the benefit of all of the Creation of God within us. But if we only translate and interprete God and the Holy Qur'an as something that is "separate from" us, and that only exists on the "outside" of us, we may try to only earn our way into heaven, try to only "work for wages to get into heaven", for from this perspective if we can just "Please God", by doing what God has told us to do on the "outside" of us, then after we die to the flesh, we will receive our reward in another "outside" of us, that is, we will then go to heaven. Bawa. But if we do this with our life, keeping it "separate from" God within us, and only seeking "selfish" goals for our life, then in the end, we will be very disappointed, for God and the "Word of God" within us for our age is much more then just about "us" living on the "outside" of us, as if we are "separate from" God within us, trying to be good. Bawa. For in truth, if we like, "us", God, and the "Word of God" within us is about "God happening" within the Creation of God within us, and about "True Man happening" within "God happening" within the Creation of God within us, just like the apple seed buried in the earth is not really about a "selfish life" buried within and "separate from" the earth, for in truth the apple seed, and what God hid within it, and the earth it is buried within, is in truth the Story of the "Oneness of the Apple Tree and Its Fruits", that the apple seed came to the earth, to join as "One with" the earth, to tell. Bawa. The apple seed buried in the earth is in truth the "apple fruit happening" within the "apple tree happening" within the apple seed buried within the earth, if it likes, for like all people, not all apple seeds germinate to the truth of themselves. Bawa. For in truth "we" in partnership with God within us, and in partnership with True Man within God within us, are the Story of the "Oneness of God and True Man" within us, and if we realize, understand, and accept this truth of ourselves, and this truth of God within us, if we let the "Truth surrender to the Truth" within us, then our life will become successful in our lifetime. Bawa. And in this way, if we "Join in partnership with God" within us, and "Join in partnership with True Man within God" within us, to "Make this Truth so" within us, and in this way, let Them tell and bring to Completion Their Story within us, which in truth is really "Our Story" within us, then, "We will be within it", and in the end we will most certainly not be disappointed. Amen. 2. A Suggested Interpretation - of the "Last 2 Lines" in the Suratal Fatihah: "Guide us on the Straight Path, The Path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy grace, And who go not astray, And not the Path of those on whom Thou hast not bestowed Thy grace, And who go astray, Not the Path of those who have wrath, who have wrath as their portion, And who go astray". Bawa. For this way of translating and interpreting the last 2 lines in the Suratal Fatihah, which is seen as the very heart of the Holy Qur'an, encourages us to "join in partnership with God within us", in order to research into and understand about what causes God to bestow His grace upon us, that is, what causes the grace of God to flow into our life, which in truth is our faith and trust in God, no matter what, which in truth is our living with faith and trust in God as if we are "One with" God within us, as if we are always in the "Presence of God" within us, allowing God within us to then "Make it So" within us, for in truth God is always "Present" within us, whether we know it or not, and even whether we like it or not, because God is always closer to us than our own breath, at least until we die to the flesh, when what is still "separate from" God within us, is then "separated from" God within us for eternity. Bawa. And what blocks it, what stops the grace of God from flowing into our life, which in truth is our acting on the "outside" of us, in our ignorance, and in our arrogance about our ignorance, as if we are "separate from" God within us, all of which is not true. Bawa. Which in truth is our current state, our current state of wrath, of anger, which is our ego, always denying the truth of our life, of all life, with each breath, with each look, with each thought, with each intention, the thought that "I exist" as "separate from" God within us, and that "I exist" as "separate from" my brothers and sisters, and that "I exist' as "separate from" the Creation of God within us, all of which is not true. Bawa. Such is our current state, my dearest loving brother Irvin, a life of "separation and differences" on the "outside" of us, and such is our Choice, the Choice to either continue to live this way, on the "outside" of us, as if we are "separate from" God within us, until we die to the flesh, or before we die to the flesh, for us to join in partnership with God within us, to change our state, to allow our soul life within us to again become "One with" God within us, before we die to the flesh. Bawa. And in this way, with "us" joining in partnership with God within us to make "our problem" into "God's Problem", because only God can solve the problem of "us", of "us" living on the "outside" of us as if we are "separate from" God within us. Bawa. In this way, with "us" joining in partnership with God within us to make "us" living on the "outside" of us as if we are "separate from" God within us, into "God's Illness" within us, an illness which God can easily cure within Himself, when we no longer believe, and think, and act, and intend, as if we exist as "separate from" God within us. Bawa. In this way, allowing God within us to "Cure Himself of us", of "us" living on the "outside" of us as if we are "separate from" God within us, by closing down the world of hell, of jinns, and of fairies within us, by re-opening the world of souls within us, and by opening the kingdom of God within us. Bawa. That's how, which God within us can most certainly do, if we like, if we will only let Him, before we die to the flesh, if we will only let what "we have opened" within us in our ignorance, and in our arrogance about our ignorance, be closed down by God within us, come to an end within us, before we die to the flesh, and let what has to be opened within us, which God has secretly placed within us, which is the world of souls, and the kingdom of God within us, to be opened by God within us, and if we do, then when God is finished, then "We will be within it", as the Witness. Bawa. And the Choice to do this, or not, with our life, or at least to truly join in partnership with God within us to start it, before we die to the flesh, is our Choice, not God's. And if we do, then God will do "Everything Else", in order to make our life truly successful in our lifetime. This is "God's Promise", this is "God's Guarantee" for our age. Amen. Bawa. A Choice which in truth is the Choice to establish within us either "God's selfless focus" or to continue with "business as usual" on the "outside" of us, with our "selfish focus". Bawa. In this way, either establishing "God's focus "within us" or continuing our focus on the "outside" of us. Bawa. That is, to either establish within us God's investigation of "God within us", that is, God's investigation of what is "Within God" within us, and God's investigation of "What God is doing" within us, with God within us conducting this investigation within us in partnership with God within us, with "us" as the Witness, using our wisdom within us, that is, using our soul, the wisdom surrounding our soul, and the light of our wisdom, all acting as One within us, during this investigation, which in the Christian tradition is referred to as the Holy Trinity, as the Father, the Sun or Light, and as the Holy Spirit or Wisdom, and in the Islamic tradition is referred as the Triple Flame, as Ya Allah, Ya Rasul, Ya Muhaiyaddeen, as God, Divine Luminous Wisdom, and Divine Analytic Wisdom. Bawa. And in this way, using God within us to investigate God within us, that is, to get to God within us, and to reveal God within us, for the benefit of all of the Creation of God within us. Bawa. For in truth, "There is nothing other than God within us, only God exists within us, and God is One within us" Bawa. Or for "us" living on the "outside" of us as if we are "separate from" God within us, to continue with our preoccupation with the drama of "separation and differences" on the "outside" of us, the drama of "selfishness", of "mine and yours" on the "outside" of us, which is only leading us to an eternal life as "separate from" God within us, if we are not wise, that is, if we die to the flesh in our current state. Bawa. And the Choice is ours, not God, that is, the Choice of which focus we choose to establish or continue in our life, before we die to the flesh, either establishing "God's focus" within us, or continuing "our focus" on the "outside" of us. Bawa. For until we die to the flesh, it is our Choice, not God's, and after we die to the flesh, all Choosing is over, and we get the consequences of our Choice, either God as "One with" within us, or "us" as "separate from" God within us, because after death there is no longer an "outside" of us, and there is no other Choice, and a "No Choice" is a Choice, a Choice for "separation from" God within us, but this time, after we die to the flesh, for eternity within us. Bawa. That is, the Choice to either continue with our current focus on "us" on the "outside" of us, acting as if we are "separate from" God within us, which is a focus on "us" as "separation and differences" on the "outside" of us, until we die to the flesh, or to join in partnership with God within us, before we die to the flesh, in order to establish God's focus within us, which is a focus on the "Oneness" of everything within us, and the moving of everything back into God within us, back into that "Oneness" which is God within everything within us, from which everything has come, but this time with an understanding of that "Oneness" so it will never leave again. Bawa. In this way, in truth "who we are" is "what is within us", and the "point of our life", the "purpose of our life", if we like, is the movement of what is within us, back into the "Oneness of God" within us all, but this time with an understanding of that "Oneness" so it will never leave again. Bawa. All of which in truth is God revealing God to God within us, for the benefit of all the Creation of God within us, which is everything within God within us, all which moves forward or not within us, depending upon our Choice, that is, the Choice to either continue with our current focus on "us" living a life on the "outside" of us as if we are "separate from" God within us, or to use God within us to establish God's focus within us, which is on moving everything within us back into the "Oneness of God" within us. Bawa. For as our dear Father, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him) within us, and God within Him, teach us for our age, and now on the "outside" of us, as His Children (may God be pleased with each of Us) are teaching us right now, in this Spiritual Letter, if we like, "God is a power. He has no form or shape. He is alone, and yet He is everywhere, existing as an eternal power that dwells in all lives and sees them all as One." Understand The "Real Issue" In Life - that is, we need to understand the "Real Choice" in our life, that we all have to make in our life, whether we know it or not, which is either "Oneness with" God within us, or "separation from" God within us, not just the "illusory choices" that we think in our ignorance, and in our arrogance about our ignorance, that we are all making in our life, like becoming a Muslim, or a Christian, or a Jew, or a Hindu, or a Zoroastrian, or a (______). You fill in the blank, my dearest loving brother Irvin, for it doesn't really matter, for as long as we Choose to stay in our current state it doesn't really matter what group we are in, it is all the same, it is all just "separation from" God within us, no matter what we may choose to call it, for in truth "If you are there, God is not there, and if God is there, you are not there". And the Choice of "who is there", within us, at any moment or point in our life, either "us" as "separate from" God, or God as "One with" everything, is our Choice, not God's For Example: Bawa. For in truth, in our life, we all make the following Choice, whether we know it or not, even whether we like it or not, before we die to the flesh, because this Choice is our true heritage, our true birthright, the true destiny of our soul. Bawa. That is, before we die to the flesh, we will all Choose to, 1) Either have the faith of Jesus (A.S.), or have faith in Jesus (A.S.) 2) Either follow the religion or path of Jesus (A.S.), or follow the religion or path about Jesus (A.S.) Bawa. A Choice which then determines, how we will spend eternity, after we die to the flesh, that is, either as "One with" God within us, or as "separate from" God with us. Bawa. In this way, with "us" either becoming again "One with" Jesus (peace be upon Him) within us, or not, before we die to the flesh, which in truth is "us" joining in partnership with God within us to awaken the wisdom surrounding our soul, which is Moses (peace be upon Him) within us, and to liberate our soul within us, which is Jesus (peace be upon Him) within us, from His cross, which is our current life of "selfishness" on the "outside" of us, living as if we are "separate from" God within us. Bawa. In this way, with "us" within us either allowing our awakened wisdom and our liberated soul, joined as "One" within us, to find and become "One with" the Light of our wisdom, and with God within that Light, or with "us" on the "outside" of us continuing to maintain our "duality" with Jesus (A.S.) within us, which in truth is our own soul, so we can sin, so we can continue to live a life of "separation and differences", a life of "selfishness", on the "outside" of us, and in this way, never awakening the wisdom surrounding our soul. Bawa. And never allowing our wisdom to do battle with the "Enemy of our soul", which is our current life of "selfishness" on the "outside" of us, never allowing our wisdom to pull out the 5 nails of "our desire" to live on the "outside" of us and sin, that is, to continue living a life of "separation and differences", a life of sin, which is "us" living on the "outside" of us, living as if we are "separate from" God within us, until we die to the flesh. Bawa. And then in the end with "us" getting exactly what we truly want as our reward, which if we die to the flesh in our current state, is an eternal life as "separate from" God within us, with "us" gradually realizing that this heaven is really our hell, because we are still "separate from" God within us. Bawa. And in this way, with "us" continuing to maintain our "duality", our "separation from" God within us, which is the "Source of our soul", until we die to the flesh, no matter what God tells us, or tries to tell us, over and over again, no matter what God shows to us, like this Spiritual Letter, my dearest loving brother Irvin, this Spiritual Letter to all of the Children of God for our age, from God within us all, if we like. Bawa. In this way, with "us" continuing to maintain our duality with God within us, and with everything within God within us, including all of God's 124,000 Messengers (peace be upon Them), until we die to the flesh, with "us" then "never to see" Jesus (peace be upon Him) again, with "us" never to see any of God's 124,000 Heavenly Beings, Prophets, and Lights of God again. Bawa. And in this way, with "us" then to never see God again, never to see God within Jesus (peace be upon Him) again, and never to see God within Muhammad (blessing and peace be upon Him) again, and in this way, with "us" never to see God within us, that is, within our wisdom within us. Bawa. Such becomes our fate, my dearest loving brother Irvin, if we die to the flesh in our current state, an eternal life as "separate from" God within us, not because of God, not because of something that God did or did not do, but because of us, because of what "we wanted", other than God within us, because of what "we did", other than join in partnership with God within us, which is to continue to maintain our duality with God within us, our separation with God within us, no matter what, no matter what God does within us to try and remove it, even for God to be "Present" in this Spiritual Letter. Bawa. And in this way, with "us" continuing to maintain our duality, our separation from each of the 124,000 Heavenly Beings, Prophets, and Lights of God within us, no matter what, no matter how many times God puts Them (peace be upon Them) in front of us, and has Them (peace be upon Them) speak directly to us, like in this Spiritual Letter. Bawa. And with "us" continuing to maintain our duality, our separation from each of our dearest loving brothers and sisters, and from the Creation of God within us, no matter what, no matter how many times God sends them to be with us, and comfort us, and teach us, like in this Spiritual Letter from your dearest loving brother Louie. So what is God to do in the end, but give us what we want, and if all that we have truly opened within us, of all of the "Gifts of God" that God has placed both within us, and on the "outside" of us, if all that we have truly opened within us, before we die to the flesh, is a life of "separation and differences" on the "outside" of us, then what is God to do with us, when we die to the flesh, but to give us "that" for eternity, for in truth the Choice is ours, not God's. Amen. [Note: In the above example, please substitute the name of any of the other 124,000 Heavenly Beings, Prophets, and Lights of God, like Moses (peace be upon Him) or Muhammad (blessing and peace be upon Him), for the name of Jesus (peace be upon Him), as you like, for in truth, "They are all One" within us, as in truth "So are We", if we like, for the Choice to live this truth of us, and this truth of God within us, is our Choice, not God's. May we all so Choose, before we die to the flesh. Amen] ============================================================== So, Who Is Louie Beutler? Bawa. My dearest loving brother Irvin, like you this child has been on a journey for the last 30 years, and counting, living at the feet of a wise and holy saint, His Holiness, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him). So who am I? Who is Louie Beutler? Bawa. A worldly answer is very easy. I have lived in America all my life, as did my parents, and I am of German and Irish ancestry. I graduated from Villanova University in 1962 with a BS Degree In Electrical Engineering. Bawa. I also graduated from Temple University in 1972 with a Masters Degree in Special Education, and again from Villanova University in 1987 with a Masters Degree in Computer Science. I was a Captain in the United States Marine Corps. Bawa. I have worked in America for 36 years as an Engineer, Salesmen, Teacher, Computer Programmer, Manager, and finally as a Computer Specialist for Unisys Corporation for 18 years, finally ending up as the "Road Man" for 25 house painters, attending to their every need, which turned out to be the best job of my life, a job where "Lou" again became "Louie". Bawa. And now I have retired, and I devote all of my time to the pursuit of my freedom, just as you have my dearest loving brother. Bawa. As for a spiritual answer, the answer is also very easy. I met His Holiness in 1975 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, when I was 36 years old, and have been absorbed in His Big Picture for the last 26 years, a Big Picture that fits so beautifully with the picture that you painted, my dearest loving brother Irvin, when we first met at the Convention Center the other day, and thank God, a Picture that goes beyond all of this, to provide us with an even Bigger Picture, the Picture that is needed to finish what we have all started in our life, without even realizing it, but that only God can finish in His life, when our life and His life again become One, if we like. ============================================================== Closing Comments - so, now the ball is in your court, if you like Bawa. Well that is about it, my dearest loving brother Irvin, at least for now, since now the ball is in your court, if you like, and if what is contained in this Spiritual Letter strikes a cord in your heart, then lets get together, at your convenience. If not, we certainly understand, and perhaps later. Either way, it is all within God's tawwakul, God's responsibility. Bawa. Please give my love and salams to all of the members of your family and to each of your friends. Please tell them that Shaikh Muhaiyaddeen (Louie Beutler) loves them very, very much, and that they are always in our prayers. Bawa. And if you like, please try to join in partnership with God within us to share this sharing with them, as this is "What it is all about", if we like, that is, if our true intention is praiseworthy, if our true intention for our life is concerning God within us, and what God is doing within us, is concerning our soul life, and the liberation of our soul, and the return again of our soul to the "Oneness" of God within us, from which we have all come, but this time with an understanding of our "Oneness" so it will never leave us again. Bawa. And what God is most certainly trying to do within each of us, if we will only let Him, if we will only join Him, is revealing God to God within us, for the benefit of all of the Creation of God within us. Bawa. And in truth this is the only truly praiseworthy intention for our life, my dearest loving brother Irvin, which is letting God finish what He has started within each of us, a very, very long time ago, even before we were born, even before we came to this earth world, for the benefit of all of the Creation of God within us. Bawa. This is the only truly selfless and praiseworthy intention for our life, which is not what we normally do with our life, which is not what we normally "intend about" in our life, and in this way, which is very, very different from what we are used to, and from what we are all currently doing with our life, and a represents a major, a very real significant shift in our whole life, and how we conduct it, before we die to the flesh. Bawa. That is, which is not just "our" intending about something that we personally want in our current life, or think is important in our current life, or is important in the lives of those around us, or for the whole world, all of which in truth is only our dream life on the "outside" of us, but rather is "God's intention" within us, for what God created within us, for what God is doing within us, but rather is "God" completing within us what God started within us, for the benefit of all of us, which is the reason, the purpose that He created us. Bawa. And in this way, we must use our life within us, we must use God within us, to "Make God's Intention" our search, and then to join in partnership with God within us to "Intend as God Intends" within us, for only then will our life become truly successful in our life time, all of which is something very different from "our" just intending something, thinking in our ignorance, and in our arrogance about our ignorance, that it is truly important, both for us and for others, or for the whole world. Bawa. When in truth all that we are really doing with our life, with all of our lofty intentions, is just another form of "selfishness", is just about "the drama" of our life, is just about the life of "separation and differences" that in our ignorance we have built within us, and that we now in our ignorance, and in our arrogance about our ignorance, only see in our ignorance as existing on the "outside" of us, as "us" and our dearest loving brothers and sisters, and all of "our" selfish and self centered relationships of "mine and yours", and of "I and you". At least this is the experience of this child. Bawa. Finally, my dearest loving brother Irvin, please forgive me if there is anything in this "Love Letter" that offends or upsets you, or your family, or friends, for this child is only a fool, trying to live at the feet of God for our age, at the feet of our dearest loving Father, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him) within us, and of God within Him, and now on the "outside" of us, trying to live at the feet of His Children (may God be pleased with each of Us), which is each of us living in the world today, if we like, that is, if the true intention for our life within us, for our soul life, is to again become "One with" God within us, before we die to the flesh. Amen. Bawa. And as our dear Father, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him) within us, and as God within Him, teach us to say in our age, and now on the "outside" of us, as His Children (may God be pleased with each of Us) are teaching us right now to say, in this Spiritual Letter, "Let those who are knowledgeable correct any faults. Forgive me the wrong, and accept the good. So I request."
